Pet Care Field Service Assistant

Lake Barrington, IL - Part Time to Full Time

Tailchasersinc is looking to hire a reliable, flexible, and motivated Field Assistant.

The ideal candidate would maintain a "Can Do!" attitude with strong abilities to problem solve and complete job-specific tasks promptly. This position would require 8 - 12 hour shifts starting as early as 6:15a or staying as late as 6:30p.

What to expect?

As a Field Assistant within Tailchasers, you are expected to learn and work both technician and reception duties (never working both positions at the same time) at our Arlington Heights or Lake Barrington resort. This position also requires you to train new hires, use the company vehicle to transport dogs, deliver pet food orders using the company vehicle, and perform standard dog walking duties within clients’ homes (within our service area). The ideal candidate must thrive in fast-paced environments and possess the ability to think quickly on their feet.

This position will dual between our Arlington Heights or Lake Barrington Resort, with duties that may take you to other cities within our service area (surrounding cities).

Requirements

  • Personal vehicle + Clean Driving Record 
  • At least 6 months of previous management or leadership experience
  • US citizen or legally authorized to work in the US
  • Self-starter, self-motivated, successful working independently
  • Strong leader in previous work environments
  • Excellent multi-tasking abilities
  • Solid foundation in computer, tablet, and GPS functions
  • Comfortable sitting or standing for extended periods
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions (rain, snow, sun)
  • Must pass a background check
  • Comfortable with all types of pets: cats, dogs, fish, and some birds
  • Able to commit to this position for 6 months from the date of hire
  • Ability to communicate with customers in a friendly manner
  • Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted
  • Weekday Availability

Compensation

  • $18.00 + tips
